This five star resort complex comprises three hotels - Al Waha, Al
Bandar and Al Husn with a total of 680 rooms. No matter which hotel
is chosen all rooms are sea facing and have private balconies,
terraces or patios.
Al Waha Hotel
Al Waha, Oman's first
dedicated leisure hotel, is the largest of the three hotels at
Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Muscat.
The name Al Waha means "The Oasis", and has been designed in such a
way that the hotel's several swimming pools form an oasis
incorporating many date palm trees.
Nestled at the foot of a mountain range, vehicular access has been
made possible by a man-made tunnel.
Comprising 262 guestrooms with a minimum room size of 32 square
metres, each room provides guests with either a 5 square metre
balcony or patio, with available seaview or sea-facing.
Al Bandar Hotel
Al Bandar is one of the
three new hotels at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa,
Muscat. The name Al Bandar means The Town and the architecture of
the hotel is inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying
heights and a variety of ornate balconies.
Al Bandar hotel is the resort’s focal point, featuring eight food
and beverage outlets and 11 meeting rooms, as well as the
spectacular Barr Al Jissah Ballroom measuring 1,056 square metres
and providing banquet-style seating for up to 700 people.
The five-star deluxe property provides 198 sea-facing guestrooms,
each offering a minimum of 45 square metres of space including a
balcony or terrace.
Al Husn Hotel
Al Husn hotel, the exclusive
indulgence, offers our highest level of Shangri-La service,
amenities and privileges to the most discerning of travellers.
All of our expansive, richly appointed rooms and suites have direct
views of the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Oman, with some
offering a panorama of the resort and the surrounding coastline.
Guests of the Al Husn hotel enjoy exclusive dining, bar and beach
areas and available butler service.
Access to the private, 100-metre beach and Mahhara Beach Bar is
reserved for guests of Al Husn hotel.
The 179 rooms and suites at Al Husn hotel are among the largest and
most luxurious in Oman, with an inviting decor inspired by royal
Arabian palaces, accented by authentic Omani artworks. Suites offer
flat screen televisions, Complimentary broadband Internet access and
DVD entertainment systems.

Restaurants & Bars
The hotel has a variety of outlets, including 6 main restaurants, 7
casual dining outlets and pool bars, 3 lobby lounges, 2 bars and a
night club. They range from outlets with a family focus to chic
casual eateries and elegant fine dining options.
Sports & Leisure
A wide range of recreational facilities are available at the resort.
From rejuvenating treatments at the Chi Spa, saunas, steam rooms,
Jacuzzi and plunge pools to aerobics classes at the gymnasium.
The resort has 6000 square
metres of swimming pools as well as a 500 metre "lazy" river, and
children's and toddlers swimming pools.
A dedicated "Little Turtles"
Kids Club providing both indoor air conditioned, and outdoor play
areas, four tennis courts and a Dive Centre offering PADI dive
instruction and certification as well as scuba diving, snorkeling,
dolphin and whale watching trips, and a marina with berthing for up
