We had a fabulous time in Oman, the people were wonderfully friendly and the hotel was superb. Even Richard who prefers Arctic destinations was very impressed and said that he would return again.

Oman Air was very impressive. Thought their business class was more like first class and so did my husband who travels a lot on business. Their service was very good and the seats very comfortable. The kids couldn’t believe their luck and stayed awake all the way there!

The resort was also great. Very kid friendly, very relaxed. Lots for the kids too, very comfortable sun loungers and good pool service. Crucially also enough sun loungers around the pool so could always get a spot to watch the kids. Comfortable rooms.

In all extremely good value. Food &Beverage expensive in the resort and limited wine choices but then you expect that in such places and comparatively (v dubai) not bad.

Would certainly recommend it.

We did go and have lunch at the Chedi one day to satisfy curiosity. We made the right choice with the Shangri la as the kids would have been bored stupid at the Chedi - very nice but definitely a couples choice.

Good Afternoon David,

Sadly we have now returned from Muscat and I am back in harness for the next year or so....

as requested just a little bit of feedback from our holiday. I think it is relevant to note, within the feedback context, that we had an advantage over most holiday makers in that we know Muscat very well (having lived there for 5 years) and on this visit spent some time with several of our old friends and visited all of our favourite old haunts - so I'm unashamedly biased.

Oman Air - like a breath of fresh air, very clean & tidy, superb in flight entertainment and with staff who were both attentive and welcoming on what were fairly busy flights. I asked one of the stewardesses for something and she said she would go and get it, and she did, returning a minute later with it - I found this quite an unusual approach from an airline, I'm more used to having to ask several times and then offering a few reminders whilst waiting.

Al Bustan - exceeded all of our expectations, absolutely faultless service from all the staff and the facilities were superb. I cannot praise it highly enough.
We visited the Barr Al Jissah complex, which looked very nice, but we could have been in Florida or Singapore. It did not share the welcoming atmosphere of the Bustan or in fact any other venue in Muscat, which to me is very disappointing as an Omani welcome is always very warm and sincere. However if the only negative aspect of a holiday is one which had no relevance to our enjoyment then I should be (and am) a very happy man.

We will be returning to Oman in the future that is for sure, but sadly my children have their eyes firmly set on a whole family (plus boyfriends/Girlfriends) visit to Florida next year, still 2012 is not far away.

David, once again, thank you for your assistance throughout looking/booking/enjoying process.

Just a note to say that we had a wonderful holiday and are now trying to come to terms with our return to UK. The Al Bustan lived up to its reputation, although I'm not so sure about the 'new look', but it was great to return and see some of the old faces and you can't change the location.

Please could you keep me posted on any 'specials' as and when they arise. Hopefully we will return.

Our holiday in Oman was fabulous, excellent airline (loved all the movie choice), have to go back to the Al Bustan Palace, Mussandam fascinating, beautiful, 4x4 tour informative, dhow trip stunning with very good snorkelling, camping great fun, your getting the picture…………….we have 642 of them!

PS Nik has probably updated you on Europcar being somewhat disorganised and not as on the ball as they should be. It is amazing though what a chance chat with a Europcar man at a petrol station can achieve, but then the Omani people are such a friendly lot!

We have just returned from our trip to Dubai and Muscat which you organised for us with Oman Air and Desert Adventures. We would like to say that all flights, airport transfers and tour pickups went very smoothly. The Al Bustan Palace was a superb hotel in a most delightful situation.

The half-day Classic Muscat Tour was most interesting, and we had a very good guide who gave us a good insight to life in Muscat, as had the driver who transferred us from Muscat airport to the hotel.

Thank you again for organising our travel arrangements which contributed to an enjoyable holiday, both with our family in Dubai and in Muscat.
